Who is Vicky Clark?

Movement is her passion and her lifeline.  It is also her vehicle for healthy aging and maintaining her personal well-being.  She has pursued movement education as a senior adult with a desire to continue a life enriched through movement and sharing her knowledge with others.

Vicky Clark studied ballet in her youth and went on to major in Ballet at the University of Utah for two years, 1975-1977.  She did not complete her degree and life soon took her away from dance.  At age 52, Vicky reentered the world of dance in an effort to improve health and mobility.  That first step led her forward to an education in dance she could never have dreamed of in her youth.  Seeking knowledge to improve her ability to teach Creative Dance to children, Vicky attended the National Dance Education Organization’s online program and was certified as a dance educator (CiDE), graduating in 2016. This opened the door for attending Utah Valley University as a non-traditional student where she was able to earn a Bachelor's Degree in University Studies with her program firmly embedded within the Dance department. She also earned an Associate’s Degree in Dance, graduating with both degrees from UVU in the spring of 2020. She went on to study with Integrated Movement Studies as a member of the 2021-2022 cohort and graduated with a Certification in Laban Movement Analysis (CLMA), in July of 2022. Vicky is also registered through ISMETA as a Registered Somatic Movement Educator (RSME).
