At The Movement Education Studio, we leverage the unique shape of the icosahedron to enhance various aspects of physical well-being. Incorporating this three-dimensional geometric form into our practice brings forth many benefits. First, the icosahedron helps promote good balance by challenging the body to distribute weight evenly in order to maintain stability while reaching toward various points within the shape. This not only strengthens the core muscles but also improves proprioception and overall body control. Also, working with the icosahedron allows us to specifically target sectional body weaknesses as the intricate structure of the icosahedron encourages coordination of muscular groups and spatial awareness. By deliberately navigating through its vertices and edges, individuals refine their ability to move fluidly, resulting in improved motor skills and kinaesthetic intelligence.

Overall, incorporating the shape of the icosahedron into our practice provides a unique tool to help achieve better balance, address sectional weaknesses, enhance coordination, and heighten spatial awareness.

This tool is used specifically for individual evaluation and coaching sessions.
