I’m afraid to take a movement class at my age.

Whether you have never taken a movement class before or you spent a lifetime dancing, these classes are for you.  If you can walk around a room and lie down on the floor, you have all the skills you to participate.  Each class focuses on basic human alignment and initiation of movement.  We’re here to help you find new possibilities based on your unique body, always accepting limitations and starting right where you are.  Students always progress based on their individuality; there is never any pressure to keep up with anyone but yourself.

How do I deal with incontinence issues while I move and dance?

Let’s be honest, this is one of the biggest problems affecting aging women’s ability to stay active and maintain feelings of youthfulness. At The Movement Education Studio, we will not let a little incontinence keep us from enjoying life. No one will ever question trips to the restroom during class, and the restroom trash can is equipped with a lid. 

For good results, I recommend wearing snug-fitting shorts with a protective pad under your workout clothes. There are numerous products currently on the market to help women of all ages address this issue. Don't be afraid to explore what is out there. (My favorites are Always Discreet pads #3, as they stay flat and fit the contours of the body quite well.)
